"Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I'm going to take tomorrow."
-Imogen Cunningham
At an early age I was tremendously fortunate to discover a love for photography. I grew up in western Massachusetts, and it was there I was given my first working opportunity in a portrait and commercial studio environment. A move to southern California presented a chance to work in a broad range of photographic settings. While there, I shot aerial, advertising, commercial and historical reproductive work. Although I began working traditionally in medium and large format film, I have now migrated completely to a digital process. Currently my photographic concentrations lie mainly in Fine Art and Travel.
As a photographer, I believe creative philosophy will vary to some extent. There are times I may look to capture the decisive moment, however there can also be the occasion when the moment comes quietly, and something unanticipated can emerge.
I strive to look at everyday life and find the unexpected. My goal is to address my subject matter with a perspective that may provoke the viewer to reconsider and contemplate something they thought they knew so well.
I am inspired and awed by many photographers; Imogen Cunningham, Dorethea Lange, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Tim Flach and Boogie are just a few. I feel extremely fortunate to have this passion for photography; even more auspicious is the pleasure of calling it my work.

"While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." -Dorothea Lange
